Local Go

LocalGo has a scheme of discounts and benefits for residents of Lubbesthorpe. Funded by the land owner, The Drummond Estate, the package of deals aims to help residents save money when  travelling sustainably. It includes offers on buses, bikes, trains and car hire with the likes Halfords, Rutland Cycling, Enterprise and ArrivaClick.

Residents who join LocalGo can claim £10 of free credit for the ArrivaClick service and can also get £100 of credit for just £10. Both offers are available to LocalGo members and membership of the scheme if free. 


Novus Leicester

The Drummond Estate fund the Novus network of bus services, operated by Vectare and delivered in partnership with Go Travel Solutions. NovusDirect offers fast, frequent links between New Lubbesthorpe, Thorpe Astley, Braunstone Leisure Centre and Leicester City Centre, seven days a week. NovusFlex is a demand responsive transport service connecting New Lubbesthorpe with Fosse Park, Enderby, Next HQ, Narborough Railway Station and other places within the local area. From 16th July 2023 NovusFlex will be replaced by NovusFosse, which will be a fixed bus service offering half hourly links between New Lubbesthorpe and Fosse Park, Meridian Business Park and Next HQ. All residents of New Lubbesthorpe are entitled to either a free seven day bus pass for NovusDirect or a half price 31 day bus pass for NovusDirect. These offers can be redeemed via LocalGO.

Other Bus Services

Stagecoach and Arriva operate bus services along the A47 (Hinckley Road). Stagecoach route 148 operates between Leicester and Coventry via Hinckley and Nuneaton. Arriva route 158 follows the same route, but between Leicester and Nuneaton only. Together buses operate every 15 minutes between Leicester and Nuneaton, and residents of New Lubbesthorpe can access these services by walking through Leicester Forest East to bus stops on Hinckley Road.


Park & Ride

The nearest Park & Ride services for Leicester city centre are:

Both operate to Jubilee Square in Leicester city centre and operate at the same times every 15 minutes, Monday to Saturday. if travelling to De Montfort University and Leicester Royal Infirmary, then you need to travel on the Park & Ride from Enderby. Train

The nearest train station is Narborough (LE19 2HR) (3 miles away) (Birmingham-Peterborough line).  The nearest major rail station is Leicester (LE2 0QB) (5.5 miles away). More information on routes and tickets prices can be  found at www.nationalrail.co.uk


Cycling

Cycle from New Lubbesthorpe to Leicester city centre or rail station in 25-40 minutes and to Fosse Shopping Park in 10-20 minutes.
