Are you interested in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend as an opportunity to get to know your neighbours? Would you like to volunteer to organise a street party on Sunday 5th June (The Big Jubilee Lunch day) for your street or a group of streets?
We are working with the Parish Council to ensure we can help coordinate and support your activities. Get in touch today - lubbesthorpealive@gmail.com
Clean Lubbesthorpe
Sunday 12th June 14:00 - 16:00
As part of Lubbesthorpe's environmental initiatives we would like to invite residents to take part in a community led litter picking event.
Interested residents should come to the hub where they will be provided with all necessary equipment along with information on where to pick.
Refreshments (teas, coffees and cake!) will be available to volunteers.
If you are interested we would encourage you to email the Lubbesthorpe Alive team on lubbesthorpealive@gmail.com so that we can get an idea of numbers to expect.
If you unable to join us then a reminder that equipment is always available at The Hub, and even better if you are able to do it during the week leading up to this event!

Past Events
We love to help create events that give everyone a sense of belonging to New Lubbesthorpe.
We started small in July 2017 with a summer games evening when there were just 17 houses in New Lbbesthorpe! The events have got bigger and bigger as more people moved into our community, with our Christmas Fair seeing around 700 people coming along.
Crafting, face painting, games, Leicester Riders, Scouts, steel drums have all been in the mix. Plus smaller events such as Pizza Making, planting the Hub garden, couch to 5K and school holiday activities mean there’s something to suit everyone’s taste.
Our current events are slightly different in the Covid era however being creative is our game so we are still creating ways of being community! Do get in touch if you have any ideas.
