Grant Funding
Supported By....
Around a quarter of our funding comes from grants, enabling us to create new activities and keep existing ones at affordable or low cost prices. It also ensures we can support the more isolated and vulnerable members of our community.
Lubbesthorpe Alive is grateful to the following organisations for their grant support this 2023/2024 .
Lubbesthorpe Parish Council
Thanks to our Local Parish Council we received £5,000 towards the The Hub running costs in 2023/2024.
The Lottery Community Fund
A £9,000 grant from the Lottery is enabling us to revamp our Hub Garden to make it more useable and increase the amount of activities we can offer. Opening in May 2024. Find out more about them here

Magic Little Grants
We also received a Magic Little Grant through the partnership between Localgiving and Postcode Places Trust. Postcode Places Trust is a grant-giving charity funded by players of the People's Postcode Lottery. Localgiving is the UK’s leading membership and support network for local charities and community groups. Our project received £500 towards our Welcome Bags which ensures that all new resident know about our community work. During 2023 we delivered around 140 Welcome Bags.

Blaby District Council
We were happy to receive two grants from Blaby District Council. In 2023 we received £500 to purchase some new toys for our Little Lubbers and Tea and Toast Groups. In 2024 we received £300 to run a Warm Space over the winter period enabling residents to save money on heating and food bills as we provided breakfast and warm drinks. Around 100 people popped in to see us during the 3 month opering period.
